Pioneer Film Club: Things To Come (1936)

Just in time for Summer Quarantine: Other Worlds presents the Pioneer SciFi Film Club! It’s like a book club, but we’ll be celebrating essential SciFi films that launched the genre. Film Club members will congregate every two weeks on Zoom to discuss the most important and interesting SciFi films from the ‘20s-‘60s. There may be a special guest, but otherwise it will just be us – SciFi fans talking about the art and history of some special films.

When? 7:30 pm, every other week (we'll alternate between Tues and Thurs)

Synopsis

For our next meeting we time-travel back to 1936 for H. G. Wells' THINGS TO COME!

It’s the story of a century: a decades-long second World War leaves plague and anarchy, then a rational state rebuilds civilization and attempts space travel.
