Where? Zoom
Cost? Free

Synopsis

Our first film will be the classic FORBIDDEN PLANET. It’s considered one of the great SciFi films of the 1950s and a precursor of contemporary Science Fiction cinema. It pioneered (see what we did there?) several aspects of SciFi cinema. It was the first to depict humans traveling in a faster-than-light starship of their own creation; the first to be set entirely on another planet in interstellar space; one of the first with a robot character (Robby the Robot) that was more than just a mechanical tin can on legs; and the first of any genre to use an entirely electronic musical score.

Forbidden Planet is available to rent from amazon, iTunes, google, you tube and many others for $2.99.
