Other Worlds Austin SciFi Film Festival announces the Texas premiere of the SciFi thriller 7 SPLINTERS IN TIME at Flix Brewhouse (Wed, June 27 - 7:30pm). Writer/Director Gabriel Judet-Weinshel will be in attendance and will do a Q&A after the screening.

Synopsis: A detective investigates a murder, only to find that the victim is ... himself. Soon, he discovers multiple versions of himself, not all of them friendly.

Starring: Edoardo Ballerini (BOARDWALK EMPIRE, THE SOPRANOS), Emmanuelle Chriqui (ENTOURAGE, DON’T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN), Austin Pendleton (AMISTAD, FINDING NEMO), Lynn Cohen (MUNICH, THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE), Al Sapienza (HOUSE OF CARDS, MARGIN CALL)

"7 SPLINTERS IN TIME garnered a ton of attention from its premiere at Cinequest earlier this year and we were determined to bring it to our audience,” says Repp. “What made it stand out to me is that director Gabriel Judet-Weinshel combines a unique artistic style with a strong narrative. He finds a nice balance between world creating, character development and dynamic visuals that provides one of my favorite cinematic experiences of the year."

In a dazzling narrative that incorporates the textural richness and depth of art-house cinema, the best elements of pulp science fiction, and the scope of a Hollywood action-thriller, 7 SPLINTERS IN TIME follows in the footsteps of Darren Aronofsky’s 'Pi,' Julian Schnabel’s 'The Diving Bell and the Butterfly,' with a bit of John Woo’s deliciously entertaining 'Face-Off' thrown in for good measure.
