OWA Netflix Recommendations: November 2016

Thanksgiving is right around the corner. For most, this means friends, family, football, and most importantly - food! What are you thankful for this year? We at OWA are thankful for the new additions to Netflix this month!

CANDYMAN: FAREWELL TO THE FLESH (1995)

This is the sequel to the 1992 film CANDYMAN. Candyman can be summoned by saying his name five times while facing a mirror. Once appearing, he will murder the summoner with a hook that is jammed in the Candyman’s bloody arm stump.

CUJO (1983)

Available November 1st

Horror lovers rejoice! While some may not see this story as one of Stephen’s King’s most terrifying, if you are a dog-lover and/or dog-owner, please know that this film might give you a jolt.  You will never watch BEETHOVEN the same again.

JETSONS: THE MOVIE (1990)

Serving as the finale to the television series, JETSONS: THE MOVIE brings the loveable SciFi family relocating across space due to George’s promotion. While other family members are enjoying the move, George finds trouble at the new job.

RAVENOUS (1999)

Available November 1st

Guy Pearce investigates missing persons at a remote Army outpost in this horror-suspense film.  Without giving too much away, let’s just say that what he discovers is biting.

TALES FROM THE DARKSIDE: THE MOVIE (1990)

This film contain three parts. The first follows a student looking to settle some scores by teaming up with a mummy. The second is about a hitman hired to kill a cat. The third involves a man being paid for his silence by a murderous demon.

THE 100, Season 3 (2016)

When a nuclear armageddon occurs and destroys earth’s civilization, only those who were on the 12 international space stations that were in orbit at the time survived. This show follows the happenings 3 generations later as they are desperately looking for a solution to ensure humanity’s future.

GHOST TEAM  (2016)

Available November 30th

Akin to the beloved Scooby-Doo series, an amateur ghost hunter recruits a team of friends and family to investigate a creepy farm with goofy antics to follow.
